Moneywise: Credit Building on a Budget | Beat Credit Card Companies at Their Own Gain

I started building credit as a senior in high-school. In two years I grew my credit into the 700’s. I am not rich, I have a strategy. It’s simple, pay what is in my name, in full, and early, for the next several years. Here’s the formula below.

Send at least twice the amount requested monthly. When I can pay more, I repeat the formula twice a month. My formula differs depending on my needs.

If I’m consciously building credit I pay large sums with my formula, over the course of at least 7 months. When I was living paycheck to paycheck, I would pay just the minimum (VERY BAD) because I was broke, and I was playing into their hands PERFECTLY…

I realized to get maximum benefits with no pocket draining bad habits I would approach my credit like chess, know the rules and create a perfect strategy, of this I am Queen too. Having a rule to pay myself first built my emergency fund into the thousands, this and my strategy saved me from crippling debt.

Using points like my own money allowed me to essentially vacation for basically free.

The other rules I use will be in the eBook, its a beginner’s guide to credit, useful to build a perfect score in as little time as possible.
